Qur’anic Hermeneutics from the 13th to the 19th Century

This projects presents hemerneutic texts on the Quran by the most prominent authors of the Islamic intellectual history. Not only authors who wrote commentaries on the Quran in the true sense of the word (tafasir) are to be discussed, but also those who have expressed themselves in other texts on the hermeneutics of the Koran. The Handbook of Quranic Hermeneutics is the first book that discusses all hermeneutic fields on the Quran. It is published in seven volumes.
