Agrochemicals for Sustainability in Agriculture

The use of agrochemicals is imperative, and judicious application in a sustainable manner is mandatory in order to get quality produce without hampering the ecosystem. The book is a planned synthesis of agrochemical management practices for their use mainly in plant protection. It covers different aspects of agrochemicals including pesticides, plant growth regulators and post-harvest chemicals. Comparatively newer molecules used in the field condition for their attributes as insecticide, fungicide, herbicide and nematicide were discussed. Different dimensions of agrochemicals for their use in sustainable agricultural production were discussed including chemistry, efficacy, metabolism, plant-pesticide interaction, formulations, analytical approaches and residues. The residual fate of these molecules in the environment was also discussed in detail.
