Constitutional Miscellany

Our 'Constitution', the author emphasizes, is a great document 'whose meaning is so dynamic that new dimensions unfold themselves as time passes and zigzag developments overtake society'. The ongoing research and investigation into the meaning and impact of its provisions, brings forth fresh interpretations in the light of social change. This dynamic nature of the Constitution and the author's response to these novel socio-economic and jural metamorphoses have been expressed in the shape of articles constituting this work which have been updated in thought and have assumed new shape. Four fresh new articles have been added to the work, viz. 1. Basic Structure Doctrine and Constitutional Governance, 2. Totalitarian Treaty Power and Constitutional Control Jurisprudence, 3. Constitutionally Inscribed Social Justice and Operationally Opposite Agenda in Practice, 4. Judiciary-A Reform Agenda. The earlier 10 articles have been reviewed and updated where necessary.
