Abstract
The second volume of the publication series “Baden-Badener Strafrechtsgespräche” (“Baden-Baden Talks on Criminal Law”) records a workshop on “suspicion” in April 29/30, 2016 in Baden-Baden. 24 experts in the area of Criminal Law, Legislation, Justice, Criminal Defence and Media examined the issue from different angles. This book contains the experts’ contributions as well as a documentation of the intensive and fruitful discussions during the workshop.
The book intends to give a picture of the notion of “suspicion” in legal doctrine and practice. In this conception, the meaning of “suspicion” exposes that behind any popular view there are highly sensitive, dynamic communicational contexts each providing special structure to criminal prosecution.
