Sprache und (Subjekt-)Bildung

More than any other institution, school has an influence on the subjectivation of children and young people. Language functions here as a category of difference, through which groups are formed, recognitions and affiliations are negotiated, and subject positions are offered as identity templates. Using Interpretative Analysis of Subjectivation, the author examines what knowledge is conveyed in the educational discourse about language(s) and speakers and how students deal with this knowledge.
